India has started talks with Russia for the purchase of T-90MS main battle tanks.

“Negotiations are under way on the possibility of signing a new contract with new conditions – to supply India T-90MS”. This was reported by a representative of the corporation “Uralvagonzavod”.

It’s reported that the Indian army will place a fresh order for purchase of more 300 latest T-90MS tanks, which will be allocated to the six tank regiments deployed in the border region between China and India, including two tank brigades and a mountain strike corps.

Earlier Russian Army has decided to Upgrade its T-90 Tanks. The T-90MS well protected by the new Relikt ERA system. Although this export variant does not feature the Shtora APS in the configuration offered by UVZ, this element can also be added, should the Russian Army wish.
