Dylan Malyasov is the editor-in-chief of Defence Blog. He is a journalist, accredited defense adviser and consultant.

Born in Arequipa, Peru and educated in Kyiv, Ukraine, he graduated in business management and worked at leading European defense companies before becoming a military journalist.

As a journalist and volunteer, he was awarded the "For Assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine" medal. The order of award was signed by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, on January 19, 2023.
