New Su-34 bomber-fighters were delivered to aviation unit of the Eastern Military District

The first batch of Su-34 bomber-fighters was deployed from aircraft factory in Novosibirsk to permanent location of air unit near Komsomolsk-on-Amur.

On the eve, representatives of the factory had finished reception of new aircraft.

This is the first batch of Su-34 bomber-fighters, which is to come into operation of Air Force and Air Defence formations of the Eastern Military District (MD) .

Su-34 is able to engage aerial ground surface targets at day and night in all meteorological conditions.

Previously the Commander of the Eastern MD troops Colonel-General Sergei Surovikin, reported that district aviation units will receive more than 700 pieces of armament and military hardware, including 60 aircraft and helicopters, in 2016.
