UkrOboronProm offers modern modular turret systems at LAAD 2017

UkrOboronProm, Ukraine’s state-owned defense manufacturer, showcased at the LAAD Defense & Security 2017  the family of its new modern modular turret systems for armoured vehicles.

The UkrOboronProm has revealed a new turret systems, includes a new Doublet modular turret system with two automatic 30mm guns ZTM-1 by UOP SE “Scientific and Technical Complex “Presicion Mechanics Plant” and Kastet, Stylet, Shkval turret systems.

The ”Doublet” modular turret system developed by “Zhytomyr Armored Plant“. The ”Doublet” is an optimized twin gun system enhancing to double the density of fire, creating a curtain with 30 mm projectiles, or shooting alternately from each barrel, which allows to double duration of continuous fire without overheating the main armament of the vehicle.

The ”Kastet” turret system was designed to offer a modern weapon systems which can be fitted on existing light and medium weight armoured vehicle. The ”Kastet” turret has a total weight of 1,500 kg. The ”Kastet” is fitted with a new fire control system using multi-channel optical and TV sighting complex. The  turret is armed with ZTM-1 30mm automatic cannon which can fire a full range of ammunition as APT and APIT at a maximum range of 2,000 m. Second armament includes one 30 automatic grenade launcher KBA 117 and one KT 7.62mm machine gun.

Fighting module “Shkval” is equipped with 30-mm cannon ZTM-1 automatic grenade launcher, 7.62-mm machine gun and guided missile weapons, designed to destroy enemy armor at the distance of up to 5 km. At the same time, fighting module “Stilet” is equipped with ZTM-2, reinforced armour and a similar set of weapons.

UkrOboronProm offers a family of modern turret systems with a combination of modular architecture, ease of integration and flexible armament means that they can be mounted onto practically any armoured vehicles.

The international exhibition LAAD-2017 Defence & Security is held on 4-7April, bringing together manufacturers and suppliers of technologies for the armed forces and the military-industrial complexes of the countries, as well as security managers of large corporations and service providers.
