Ukraine speeds up BTR-4 armored personnel carriers production

Joining capacities of the SE “Zhytomyr Armored Plant,” the State Concern “Ukroboronprom” can strengthen the army with modern Ukrainian BTR-4 faster. Plant specialists are already successfully mastering hulls production. The next stage is production of armored personnel carriers BTR-4.

“Modern and powerful light-armored vehicles of Ukrainian production will be delivered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine faster. “Zhytomyr Armored Plant” has already developed technical documentation for this type of armored vehicles. The plant is planning BTR-4 state tests and delivery to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the National Guard and other law enforcement agencies to strengthen the country’s defence. Now UKROBORONPROM can produce more BTR-4 on the state order,”

BTR-4E is entirely Ukrainian development, which is highly competitive. The domestic light armored vehicle sample has powerful armament, great speed and protection for the crew. Almost 80 vehicles BTR-4E strengthened Ukrainian army during the military operation in the East of the country.

The President of Ukraine awarded BTR-4E developers with the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology. Specialists of the UKROBORONPROM  SE “Kharkiv Morozov Machine-Building Design Bureau” received the reward.
