Soldiers from the NATO countries will take part in the parade of troops on Ukraine’s Independence Day in Kyiv, Defence Minister Stepan Poltorak said on Friday.
Representatives of about 10 NATO countries and friendly countries will participate in festivities on occasion of the 26th Anniversary of the Day of Independence of Ukraine.
“We invited our foreign partners and colleagues to participate in festivities on occasion of the Day of Independence of Ukraine,” the Minister stressed.
“Six countries have already accepted our invitation. They are representatives of NATO nations and Georgia,” General Poltorak added.
4.5 thousand Ukrainian militaries are going to take part in the parade, including one thousand participants in the anti-terrorist operation in Donbas. Among the participants of the parade, there will also be 200 fighters awarded for courage.
70 samples of military equipment will be demonstrated, of which 25 are completely new, the minister said.
