US MQ-1A «Predator» drone crashes in western Iraq

The MQ-1A Predator drone crashed near the rebels-controlled “Euphrates Province” in western Iraq.

The Islamic State  “Euphrates Province” (Wilayat al-Furat) is the group’s newest administrative division, most notably encompassing the localities of al-Qa’im in Anbar province on the border with Syria and Albukamal in Deir az-Zor province on the border with Iraq, together with some neighboring contiguous territory.

The General Atomics MQ-1 Predator is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) built by General Atomics and used primarily by the United States Air Force (USAF) and Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
