- Ukraine’s UKR ARMO TECH presented its DESNA and GYURZA-03 armored vehicles at the World Defense Show in Saudi Arabia as it seeks entry into the Middle East market.

Ukrainian armored vehicle manufacturer UKR ARMO TECH announced its intention to expand into the Middle East market while increasing production capacity to meet potential export demand, following its participation in the World Defense Show in Saudi Arabia.
The company showcased its DESNA multi-purpose tactical vehicle and GYURZA-03 MRAP-class platform at the exhibition in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, presenting its products to defense officials, military delegations, and industry representatives from multiple countries.
“Over the past three days, hundreds of visitors, including defense experts, military representatives and industry professionals from different countries, have visited the UKR ARMO TECH stand,” the company said in a statement.
“We are presenting our latest armored platforms: DESNA – a multi-purpose tactical vehicle designed for real operational conditions, GYURZA-03 – an MRAP-class vehicle featuring a separate armored compartment for supplies and equipment, enhancing safety during combat-logistics missions.” The company added: “Throughout the exhibition, we continue to receive valuable feedback, professional assessments and strong interest in our engineering solutions. And, as always, it is a pleasure to see the attention our vehicles attract.”
According to the manufacturer, UKR ARMO TECH is actively supplying armored vehicles to units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and is expanding its production facilities in consideration of potential export orders. The move reflects a shift from exclusively domestic wartime supply toward structured international outreach.
The GYURZA-03 provides STANAG 4569 Level 2 ballistic protection and Level 3a/3b mine protection. It features 450 mm of ground clearance, enabling improved off-road mobility, the ability to ford water obstacles up to 1.2 meters deep, and to overcome vertical obstacles up to 0.4 meters high. The vehicle retains the proprietary chassis originally developed for the GYURZA-02 platform, designed for operation under demanding combat conditions.
The DESNA platform is positioned as an armored tactical vehicle refined through high-intensity combat experience. The company presents it as an alternative to legacy light tactical vehicles currently in service.
The company’s expansion strategy comes as Gulf states continue to modernize ground forces and seek armored mobility solutions suited for desert terrain and mixed security environments. Participation in the Saudi defense exhibition placed UKR ARMO TECH among established global suppliers competing for regional contracts.
