On 30 November 2017, Poland’s Military Aviation Works No 1 (WZL-1) has transferred to the Senegalese Air Force the remaining two of three fully overhauled Mi-24 “Hind” helicopters.
Commissioning of the helicopters was preceded by a logistic undertaking on a large scale, consisting in cargo allocation according to weight and balance rules for An-124 heavy transport aircraft owned by Antonov Airlines, which took the Hinds to Dakar.

WZL-1 is one of the leading aviation companies in Europe. The company established its position on local, national and foreign market thanks to untypical activity which generally covers:
• overhaul, maintenance and modernization of the following helicopters: Mi-8, Mi-14, Mi-17, Mi-24, W-3 Sokół and SH-2G Kaman;
• general overhaul of SO-3/W aviation engines and TW3-117 (III s, M, MT, W) family engines;
• general overhaul of PZL-130 “ORLIK”, MiG-29, TS-11, SU-22, An-2 aggregates and their equipment;
• periodic maintenance of TS-11 “ISKRA”.
The refurbished helicopters sold by a private Polish company to the Senegalese Armed Forces. First overhauled Mi-24 helicopter was delivered to Africa in January this year.
