Somalia received 12 Tiger light armoured vehicles from China

The Somali National Army received 12 new Tiger 4×4 light armoured vehicles,  as part of a military aid agreement signed with China.

The new Tiger 4×4 light armoured vehicles developed by Shaanxi Baoji Special Vehicles Company.  The Tiger is a 4×4 light armoured vehicle with room for up to 10 people, including the driver.

The Shaanxi Baoji Special Vehicles 4×4 Tiger is motorized with a Cummins ISDE200-30 Diesel engine developing 200 hp. at 2,700 RPM.

The Tiger can run at a maximum road speed of 110 km/h with a maximum operational range of 600 km. The vehicle can climb 60% slope fully-loaded and cross a water depth of 800 mm without preparation and 1.2 m with preparation.
