The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has yet to comment on the training incident.

It’s not clear how the “friendly fire” incident took place, but Russian soldiers posted numerous photos on the Telegram online messaging service of a damaged T-90A tank.

In July, a U.S. Army M1 Abrams main battle tank accidentally engaged another tank during gunnery practice.
