According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia executed a massive aerial assault utilizing an array of munitions, including cruise missiles and the Kh-42M Kinzhal hypersonic missiles. The consequence of this onslaught was stark—three lives lost and 38 individuals injured, with one fatality in Kyiv and two in the surrounding region. The new massive attack follows a similar large-scale missile attack on December 29th, wherein Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Lviv, Zaporizhzhia, and other cities fell under fire. The capital alone witnessed 30 casualties due to Russia’s relentless assault.

The Tu-95MS “Bear-H” strategic bombers’ participation in this assault underscores Russia’s calculated escalation, echoing a similar large-scale attack on December 29th that battered key Ukrainian cities, resulting in numerous casualties.

The ongoing search and rescue operations aim to ascertain the full extent of the casualties and injuries caused by these devastating strikes.
