Russian defense export agency fakes photo of new T-90S tank

Russian defense export agency Rosoboronexport posted a faked photos of T-90S and T-90SK tanks at its official website and catalog.

Rosoboronexport’s marketing and advertising campaigns have, multiple times, been struck by controversy. That continues today, as a Ukrainian military expert post revealed that the company faked photos with new T-90S and T-90SK main battle tanks.

According to company’s promo, the T-90S main battle tank (MBT) is a new-generation hi-tech weapon system developed drawing on century-long experience gained in world and Russian tank-building industries, lessons learned from combat use of tanks in various countries around the world, studies and analysis of their field service and intensive trials in the most severe environments.

The T-90SK tank based on T-90S and is designed to provide command and control over subordinate units, facilitate communications with superior commanders, and conduct operations as part of units and subunits.

Ukrainian military expert, Andrey Tarasenko was quick to spot the fake upgraded tanks, pointing to the unnatural position of explosive reactive armour on-site Shtora-1 electro-optical active protection system.

Later Facebook users found originals of photos in Google Images service.

According to official website, the Joint-Stock Company Rosoboronexport is Russia’s only state-controlled intermediary in the area of exports and imports of the entire range of military and double-purpose products, technologies and services.

The Company is actively involved in pursuing national policy of the Russian Federation in the area of military technical cooperation with foreign countries.

The official status of exclusive state-controlled special exporter provides Rosoboronexport to make fake photos of its new main battle tanks?
