Large-scale exercise of air defence troops started in Russia

Large-scale exercise of the Russian Eastern Military District air defence troops started in Buryatia, Sakhalin and Amur regions, and Primorsky Krai.

The servicemen will operate such air defence complexes and systems as S-300, Osa, Strela-10, Tor-M2U, Pantsyr-S and Shilka.

The air defence units will practice detecting, tracking and identifying fast-moving small-sized targets.

In total, about 8,000 servicemen and about 1,000 pieces of combat and special hardware as well as more than 120 aircraft are involved in the exercise.
