Iveco–Oto Melara Consortium presents the new Centauro Mortar Carrier at Eurosatory 16

The Iveco–Oto Melara Consortium (CIO) will once again be present at Eurosatory in Paris from 13th to 17th June 2016. The exhibition will give the Consortium the opportunity to display the latest developments in its product range.

CIO will exhibit the Centauro VBM Mortar Carrier that shares the characteristics of mobility and versatility typical of the Centauro family. Its platform is fitted with a 120 mm rifled bore mortar that offers many advantages in terms of firing range, mobility and operational speed thanks to its semi-automatic loading system, electrically powered traverse and elevation and computer assisted ballistic.

The platform is fitted with a rifled semiautomatic 120 mm mortar, capable to use the same ammunitions ordinarily in service in Light Infantry Units to support the fire of the Medium Infantry.
