Final stage of the unannounced combat readiness inspection of the troops is held in Russia

On the 30th and 31th of August in the deployment areas of the troops of the Southern MD the activities of the final stage of the unannounced troops inspection conducted upon the decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will take place.

At present, combat firing tactical and special tactical training exercises, as well as troop performance drills, trainings on countering sabotage and reconnaissance groups and tests on combat vehicle and tank driving, as well as on fire, tactical, engineering, technical, medical, airborne training are held at 14 combined-arms ranges of the Southern MD.

In the framework of test mobilization exercises and reserve training, reservists practice operational coordination as part of sections, platoons and companies of the territorial defense.

In addition, the readiness of a series of industrial enterprises to complete assigned mobilization missions of hardware procurement and maintenance will be tested.

Starting from August 25, the unannounced inspection of the Southern, Western and Central Military Districts, the Northern Fleet, the Main Command of the Aerospace Forces and the Airborne Troops Command, is held upon the decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

The activities are conducted within the scenario of preparation for the strategic command-and-staff exercise “Caucasus-2016”

The practical stage of the activities will take place at 14 combined-arms ranges as well as in the Black and Caspian Seas.

The unannounced inspection will last until August 31.
