Russian Su-57 debuts at China’s premier aerospace exhibition

For the first time, Russia’s fifth-generation Su-57 stealth fighter jet has landed in China to participate in the Airshow China 2024 in Zhuhai.

The Su-57 Felon, developed by Sukhoi, is Russia’s most advanced fighter jet, designed to compete with other fifth-generation aircraft like the U.S. F-22 Raptor and F-35 Lightning II. Its deployment to China underscores Russia’s intention to highlight the fighter’s stealth technology, supermaneuverability, and advanced avionics in one of the world’s most prominent aerospace exhibitions.

During the airshow, the Su-57 will be featured in both static and aerial displays, giving attendees an opportunity to witness its cutting-edge design and performance. The aircraft’s participation is seen as a move to boost Russia’s defense exports, with Asia and China being a key market for Russian military technology.
