New Kazakh combat vehicles to present in the Russia at ARMY-2016 military forum

Kazakhstan Paramount Engineering (KPE) to present new  Barys 8 infantry fighting vehicle and Arlan 4×4 armoured vehicle at II International military and technical forum ARMY-2016 in Russia.

The Barys 8 is based on Mbombe 6×6 armoured fighting vehicle and is intended to meet modern tactical operational needs of the land forces.  It is designed by South African-based defence and aerospace solutions provider Paramount Group in partnership with Kazakhstan Engineering Distribution and Kazakhstan Paramount Engineering (KPE).

The vehicle fitted with the Russian-made AU-220M unmanned turret armed with a 57 mm dual-feed cannon and a 7.62 mm co-axial machine gun. A wide range of other turrets and weapon stations could be integrated on the vehicle.

The new  Arlan 4×4 armoured vehicle  will be demonstrated to the visitors at the exhibition hall, and the demonstration shows, which will be held September 7-8 at the range “Alabino” in the Moscow region.

The Arlan armoured vehicle is based on the Paramount Marauder mine-resistant, ambush-protected vehicle platform. Earlier Kazakh military has received into service the first  batch of new Arlan armoured, mine-protected vehicles.

The official opening of ARMY-2016 will take place on September 6; in comparison with the previous year the duration of the event will be increased by 2 more days considering the desire of participants.

The expositions of the Forum are to be segmented to 40 topical sections.
