Ukrspecsystems to unveil new vertical take-off and landing drone at UMEX 2018

Ukraine-based company Ukrspecsystems will officially unveil a new PD-1 unmanned aerial system with vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) module at the UMEX 2018 show in Abu Dhabi.

The Ukrspecsystems announced on 6 February that its new the VTOL conversion kit for PD-1 unmanned aerial system will be present at UMEX 2018 show at Abu Dhabi on February 25-27.

The kit is fully compatible with any PD-1 drone and easily converts it to the vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) fixed-wing aircraft. The upgrade could be done in the field, no need to send your drone back to the factory and interrupt your operations.

The PD-1 is an unmanned aerial system, bases version can stay in the air for up to 10 hours with 8 kg payload and well-suited for surveillance, aerial photography, agriculture, search and rescue and public safety applications.

Also PD-1 UAS comes equipped with high-resolution photo camera and software that allows to process and analyze photos. Photo camera can take pictures with resolution up to 10 pixels/cm while drone is flying on the altitude of 1000 meters. The unmanned aerial system developed by Ukrspecsystems comes equipped with anti-jam capabilities, allowing it to be operated without GNSS signal or even when it faces GPS spoofing or control signals interception attempts.

The PD-1 Unmanned Aerial Systems are currently in service with the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
