Ukrainian communications technology company HIMERA has successfully fulfilled a defense order for a NATO member state.
According to Militarnyi, HIMERA completed the order for the defense ministry of a European NATO country that has chosen to remain anonymous.
The company said the delivery represents an important milestone in its international expansion as it deepens cooperation with foreign partners seeking advanced, resilient communications capabilities for modern warfare.
“HIMERA is proud to announce the successful completion of a government order for the Ministry of Defense of a European NATO member state, which has decided to remain anonymous,” the company said in a statement. “This is an important stage for our company, as we continue to strengthen cooperation with international partners in developing secure and reliable communication systems on the battlefield.”
As part of the contract, HIMERA conducted comprehensive training sessions for the customer’s communications units and military personnel, ensuring smooth integration of the systems into operational environments. During field testing, the systems received strong evaluations from the client, with praise focused on several key characteristics that enhance battlefield effectiveness.
These include low detectability within the radio spectrum, which improves operational security; strong resistance to electronic warfare, ensuring stable communication in complex combat conditions; rapid and user-friendly configuration, enabling quick deployment; extended battery life for sustained operations; and adaptability to evolving battlefield requirements.
The company noted that these capabilities are driving interest in expanding the systems’ use across more units of the customer’s armed forces.
In February 2025, the company entered into a partnership with Canadian firm Quantropi, a leader in quantum technology. Under that agreement, HIMERA will integrate post-quantum encryption into its product line, while Quantropi will act as the exclusive distributor of HIMERA’s solutions in the United States and Canada and promote them across NATO and allied markets.
The company’s presence in the Ukrainian Armed Forces has also continued to grow. In March 2025, HIMERA reported the delivery of 6,000 tactical radios to Ukraine’s military, while increasing monthly production to 1,000 units. The company says it is prepared to ramp up output rapidly — to 2,500 units per month, with the potential to reach 10,000 to 15,000 radios monthly — as demand rises.
