U.S. Soldiers involved in traffic accident in Poland

Soldiers of the U.S. Army’s 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, deployed to Poland in support of Atlantic Resolve, were involved in a minor traffic accident in the vicinity of Gorzowie Wielkopolskim in Poland.

A passerby called a local fire department, who immediately arrived to assist in the recovery efforts, and U.S. forces have arrived on the scene to supervise follow-on recovery operations.

The U.S. Army unit, part of the 64th Brigade Support Battalion, will recover the vehicle and return it to Drawsko Pomorskie as soon as the fire department has cleared the scene.


Currently, no injuries to personnel or significant damage to roads, bridges or infrastructure have been reported. The cause of this incident is currently under investigation.
