Russia’s nuclear submarine successfully fires KALIBR cruise missile

The Severodvinsk multidimensional nuclear submarine of the Northern Fleet has fired the Kalibr sea-based cruise missile.

According to the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, the submarine crew performed the firing from submerged position at a Northern Fleet range in the Barents Sea. The missile was aimed at the Chizha range located in the Arkhangelsk region.

The distance to the target was nearly 600 kilometers. According to objective monitoring data, the missile hit the target.
