Russia’s defence company develops advanced tactical vehicle for Airborne Forces

Russian defence consortium Intrall and UAMZ Group has incorporated a number of enhancements to its Toros 4×4 tactical vehicle.  That was reported by planobrazil.com.

The improved version of Toros 4×4 tactical vehicle it can be used by Russia’s Airborne Forces.

The new light airborne armoured vehicle was displayed during the celebrations of the 87th anniversary of the Russian Airborne Forces held in the Military Patriotic Park of Culture and Recreation of the Russian Armed Forces, near Moscow at the end of July 2017.

The updated version of Toros vehicle provides protection against small arms fire and artillery shell splinters. The Toros can be paradropped from medium military cargo aircraft into special paratroopers platform. Once on the ground, it provides fire support for dismounted airborne troops. It also acts as an armored transport vehicle.

Also, the vehicle offers for Russian National Guard and Special Forces.
