Russian Motorized rifle brigade was alerted in the course of the sudden inspection

Today the Southern Military District separate motorized rifle brigade located in the Republic of Dagestan  in Russia has been alerted within the unannounced combat readiness inspection.

Over 1,500 servicemen are preparing about 200 pieces of wheeled and tracked vehicles for marching to the assigned concentration zones.

On August 25-31, 2016, an unannounced inspection of the Southern, Western and Central Military Districts, the Northern Fleet, the Main Command of the Aerospace Forces and the Airborne Troops Command is held upon the decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

The activities are held within the scenario of preparation for the strategic command-and-staff exercise “Caucasus-2016”

The practical stage of the activities will take place at combined-arms ranges as well as in the Black and Caspian Seas.

The unannounced inspection is held on August 25-31.
