- Russian aircraft manufacturer TANTK Beriev reported a net loss of about $64 million in 2025 after revenue fell sharply compared with the previous year.

Russia’s Taganrog Aviation Scientific-Technical Complex named after Beriev (TANTK Beriev) reported a net loss of more than 5 billion rubles, or approximately $65 million, in 2025, according to financial statements published on Interfax.
The results represent a sharp reversal from 2024, when the company posted a profit of 1.19 billion rubles (about $15.4 million). Financial data show the company’s revenue declined 3.8 times year over year to 3.8 billion rubles, equivalent to roughly $49.2 million at the official Central Bank of Russia exchange rate of 77.19 rubles per U.S. dollar.
Production costs also decreased but at a slower pace, falling 2.5 times to 3.56 billion rubles, or about $46 million. As a result, gross profit dropped 23.6 times to 240 million rubles, approximately $3 million. The company recorded a loss from sales totaling 1.24 billion rubles, or about $16 million, compared with a profit of 3 billion rubles ($39 million) the previous year.
The financial report also showed growing debt obligations. TANTK Beriev’s liabilities to creditors increased from 24 billion rubles to 27 billion rubles, rising from roughly $311 million to $350 million. At the same time, accounts receivable declined from 21 billion rubles ($272 million) to 10 billion rubles ($129 million).
TANTK Beriev is one of Russia’s major aviation manufacturers specializing in high-technology aircraft and modernization programs. The enterprise is responsible for producing and upgrading airborne early warning and control aircraft such as the A-50 and the next-generation A-100, as well as the A-60 airborne laser platform. The company also manufactures the Be-200 amphibious aircraft and conducts repair and modernization work on Tu-95 strategic bombers and Tu-142 maritime patrol aircraft derived from the same airframe.
The company has also recently joined programs linked to tactical drone production, according to industry sources, with some reports indicating that Molniya-type drones were previously manufactured at facilities associated with the enterprise.
TANTK Beriev has been targeted multiple times by Ukrainian drone and cruise missile strikes, with portions of its production capacity reportedly damaged or destroyed during attacks. Ukrainian operations have focused on aviation infrastructure connected to airborne early warning aircraft and other military aviation assets.
The financial deterioration reflects a combination of reduced revenues, rising debt levels, and operational disruptions affecting production output. The company’s role in maintaining and upgrading Russia’s airborne early warning fleet makes it a key element of the country’s aerospace and defense industrial base.
