Russia has declassified a new KAMAZ-78504 tank transporter

Russia has declassified a new KAMAZ-78504 tank transporter developed under the program «Platforma-O», reported

The Russian KAMAZ-78504 prime mover is designed to haul semi-trailers, transporting tanks, heavy armored vehicles or construction equipment.

The KAMAZ-78504 will used in both military roles (as, for example, artillery tractor trailer (pulling rocket or (ballistic) missile launchers), tank transporter, and airfield tractor) and in the civilian sphere as heavy tractor trailers, tractor ballast (or secondary unit) for carrying extra heavy loads, and in oil and gas fields.

The Russia government mulls urgent steps for import substitution and launching production at Russian military enterprises. KAMAZ-78504 can be a substitute for Belarusian MAZ- 537
