Iran has ordered Russian IL-78 MKI Tanker Aircraft

Iran has ordered Russian IL78 MKI Tanker Aircraft to extend its air force’s range up to 7,300 km.

Israeli based DEBKAfile site claims that the actual order encompasses 100 (hundred…) aircraft.

DEBKAfile intelligence and security news service is controversial, yet credited with past scoops.

The aforementioned order should be completed within five years. Each Il-78 is capable of mid-air refueling six aircraft in concert.
