India Receives Five More Upgraded An-32RE Aircraft From Ukraine

India has taken the delivery of five upgraded Antonov An-32RE transport aircraft which have been modified by from Ukraine’s state-owned Concern “Ukroboronprom”. This is the eightbatch of the upgraded An-32s which India has received since the 2009 contract between the two nations.

Following the overhaul, these upgraded Soviet-era An-32 transport aircraft will have an extended life of 40 years from the existing 25 years.

According to the report, the transfer of technology took place at the Kiev Aviation Plant “Plant 410 CA”, which is part of the group, with the participation of management of state-owned enterprises.

“This is the eighth batch of aircraft as part of the contract between the State Enterprise” Spetstehnoeksport “, which is authorized by the state special exporter” Ukroboronroma “and the Indian Ministry of Defense,” – noted the concern.
