Houthi separatists destroyed Abrams tank used by Saudi troops

Houthi rebels have claimed that they have destroyed the M1A2 Abrams main battle tank of  Saudi Arabia’s force fighting in northern Yemen.

According to the Yemen Press Agency, the incident took place in the Jizan sector. Rebels have released video shows a guided anti-tank missile hit a Saudi Arabia’s M1A2 Abrams main battle tank.

“The Yemeni army on Thursday killed two Saudi soldiers and destroyed a tank, Abrams, and a bulldozer in Jizan province”, said in rebels reportе.

The Abrams tank participated in a Saudi-led coalition military operation. A military intervention was launched by Saudi Arabia in 2015, leading a coalition of nine African and Middle East countries, to influence the outcome of the Yemeni Civil War in favour of the government of President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi.
