Aero-Sentinel’s G2 Premium drone redefines covert reconnaissance

Israel-based Aero-Sentinel has developed the G2 Premium unmanned aerial vehicle, a reconnaissance drone designed for extended endurance, near-silent operation, and advanced algorithmic tracking for defense and security missions.

According to Aero-Sentinel, the G2 Premium is engineered to meet the demands of covert surveillance in contested environments. The system combines 80 minutes of flight endurance with near-silent operation, allowing operators to conduct missions at low altitudes while remaining undetected.

The company says the drone has already attracted strong interest from defense and security organizations worldwide.

Aero-Sentinel’s Chief Marketing and Technology Officer (CMTO), Ofir Avram, said: “As a veteran company with a broad global customer base – including several special forces units – we provide modular solutions that integrate with reconnaissance tools and other mission-specific systems.”

Extensive field trials have been carried out across varied operational environments. Feedback from users, Aero-Sentinel noted, has been “overwhelmingly positive,” with operators praising the platform as “exceptionally reliable, remarkably quiet, and a key enabler of operational success.”

The G2 Premium is uniquely small, measuring just 60 centimeters across, and weighs only 3.5 kilograms. Powered by four electric motors, it can carry payloads of up to one kilogram. With a maximum speed of 12 meters per second and a line-of-sight range of up to seven kilometers without antenna — and nearly double that with the company’s unique directional antenna — the drone is tailored for short-range tactical reconnaissance.

As with other advanced Israeli defense technologies, the drone is subject to government oversight. Aero-Sentinel stated that the G2 Premium is sold “fully within Israeli and international frameworks to ensure responsible and authorized sales.”

The company is also looking ahead with a focus on artificial intelligence.

“We are currently integrating AI accelerators that will significantly enhance the operator’s ability to detect targets and rapidly close the sensor-to-shooter loop,” Avram explained.

In addition, Aero-Sentinel is expanding payload options. A new mission package that includes a directional antenna, tactical recording screen, and reverse video transmission to headquarters has been introduced as a differentiator in the UAV’s class.

The Sentinel Ground Control Station, built to MIL-STD specifications, provides a rugged and portable mission hub. Featuring AES-256 encrypted datalinks with a 10-kilometer range, the console enables secure operations under challenging conditions.

Operators can integrate a range of payloads, including the Snunit dual EO-IR camera weighing only 180 grams, the Kfir turret for long-range observation, and the compact Dror gimbal for lightweight tactical use.
