L3Harris tests Red Wolf missile on Sky Warden aircraft

L3Harris said on Feb. 9, 2026, that it has demonstrated the integration of its Red Wolf launched effects vehicle on the AT-802U Sky Warden aircraft.

As noted by L3Harris, the integration highlights modularity across both systems and supports rapid reconfiguration for evolving mission needs. The company presented the capability as part of ongoing work to field adaptable aircraft and payload combinations for U.S. and international customers.

“Our customers demand a lean, agile aircraft that can fly, take off and land anywhere, anytime, outfitted with a wide range of payloads,” said Jason Lambert, President, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, Space and Mission Systems, L3Harris. “Bringing together Red Wolf and Sky Warden demonstrates the rapid reconfiguration and customization of key L3Harris capabilities.”

Sky Warden is based on the Air Tractor 802 platform and is designed to deliver close air support, precision strike, and armed ISR while connecting to joint force networks in real time, the company said. L3Harris described the aircraft as having a small footprint and a low cost per flying hour, with flexibility to support current and future missions.

Red Wolf is described by the company as a multi-domain kinetic vehicle intended for long-range precision strikes. L3Harris said the system offers extended loiter capability and standoff engagement and is designed to integrate with multiple aircraft and launch platforms. A related variant, Green Wolf, is configured for electronic warfare roles.

The company said the Sky Warden–Red Wolf pairing is intended to give commanders additional options to strike targets and disrupt adversary operations at extended ranges. The integration is framed as an open-standards approach intended to simplify adaptation across different mission sets and platforms.

L3Harris said it has spent the past five years designing, developing, and testing the Red Wolf and Green Wolf vehicles. According to the company, more than 40 test flights have been conducted to validate performance and integration concepts. The systems are described as recoverable and designed to support repeated use across missions.

L3Harris said the Red Wolf integration aligns with customer interest in scalable strike and ISR options that can be added without extensive aircraft modification.
