Wescom Defence develops next-gen multispectral camouflage

Wescom Defence will unveil its new ATMIS Multispectral Camouflage (ATMIS MSC) portfolio at DSEI 2025 in London, introducing a next-generation concealment system designed to give armed forces a tactical edge in increasingly contested environments.

The ATMIS MSC suite, developed by BCB International and now part of Wescom Group following its acquisition in January 2025, integrates advanced signature management solutions that minimize visibility across visual, infrared, and thermal spectrums.

“The integration of BCB International into Wescom Group has enabled us to deliver a truly world-class camouflage capability,” said David Griffiths, Vice President of Defence Sales at Wescom Defence. “By combining proven protection across multiple spectrums with adaptable, field-ready configurations, ATMIS MSC gives forces the tactical edge required for modern operations and emerging threats.”

The ATMIS MSC range includes flexible and modular components tailored for static, mobile, and individual applications. Key products feature ATMIS Flex, a lightweight multispectral fabric; ATMIS Crinkle, a 3D-textured material for terrain mimicry; and the MK8 3D Leafed system for disrupting enemy sensors.

Wescom Defence will also showcase the Combat Net Defence System (CNDS), which pairs multispectral camouflage with Dyneema and aramid materials to provide scalable concealment and protection against drone strikes, loitering munitions, and thermal imaging systems.

Engineered to NATO standards, ATMIS MSC products are designed to meet diverse mission requirements while offering durability and customization for field operations.

The systems will be demonstrated live at DSEI 2025, with Wescom Defence’s main showcase on camouflage and concealment taking place at Stand N3-305.

Wescom Defence, a global supplier of pyrotechnics and energetics with operations in the UK, Germany, and Spain, said the new camouflage technology reflects its commitment to delivering reliable, innovative solutions to allied armed forces worldwide.
