Ukrainian armored vehicles «Dozor» will appear on the frontline

Armored vehicle “Dozor”  is already produced in lots by Lviv Armored Plant. This was announced by Deputy Director General for Development Arthur Heruvimov during the meeting with military attaches from 24 countries, visiting one of UKROBORONPROM’s flagships SE “Lviv Armored Plant”.

Oleg Synyutka, the Head of Lviv Regional State Administration, stressed the importance of cooperation with foreign partners and a great contribution of Lviv Armored Plant workers for the region. “Lviv Armored Plant” has created more than 150 new jobs. Every vehicle, manufactured by Lviv Armored Plant, results in new jobs, wages to employees and a great contribution to the budget”, – said Mr. Synyutka.

For his part, Arthur Heruvimov stressed that today the production capacity of the State Concern enterprises exceeds the capacity of the military budget, so the part of the industry’s potential is to be directed to foreign economic activity. The official mentioned, that this will not only turn defense complex into a powerful engine of the economy of Ukraine, but will also contribute to significant currency flow for the state budget.

The State Concern can ramp up production of “Dozor’s” up to 400 units a year. Today UKROBORONPROM’s task №1 is to fully meet the needs of Ukrainian army, particularly in armored vehicles “Dozor.” Once the Army is supplied – we are ready to provide stable export. Our “Dozors” can bring a lot of money to the state budget of Ukraine “, – said Arthur Heruvimov.

In 2015 UKROBORONPROM 100% fulfilled state defense order, providing substantial profits for Ukrainian budget. In 2016 UKROBORONPROM will develop the strategy “Ukrainian shield.” This program focuses on high-tech production, transition to international standards (NATO) and equipping the army with modern types of armaments.
