Ukrainian elite forces use ENVG-B goggles in combat

Ukrainian elite forces have reportedly fielded a new advanced augmented reality and night vision technology into their operations, leveraging capabilities associated with high-tech simulations.

According to local sources, Ukrainian Special Operations Forces now use ENVG-B advanced augmented reality headsets.

The ENVG-B (Enhanced Night Vision Goggle-Binocular), produced by L3Harris, has become a game-changer for Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces (SOF), offering unprecedented situational awareness and target acquisition.

The ENVG-B combines state-of-the-art white phosphor and thermal imaging, creating a fused system that significantly improves the clarity and effectiveness of visual identification in low-light and obscured conditions. Unlike traditional night vision devices, this dual-waveband goggle can penetrate through visual barriers such as dust, smoke, and fog.

The ENVG-B allows users to overlay real-time data, providing enhanced situational awareness akin to the heads-up displays seen in video games. This innovation supports precision targeting, faster engagement, and heightened operational safety.

This advanced technology is expected to provide Ukrainian forces with an operational edge in a conflict that has increasingly relied on cutting-edge military innovations.

L3Harris describes the ENVG-B as a “leap forward in tactical edge technology,” emphasizing its role in enabling soldiers to “target, engage, and neutralize threats with increased precision.”
