Ukraine delivered the next batch of the Oplot-M Main Battle Tanks for Royal Thai Army

The delegation of the Armed Forces of Thailand visited the «Malyshev Plant» in Ukraine, reported military-informant.com. The Malyshev Plant manufactures the Oplot-M battle tank developed by Morozov Design Bureau (KhKBM).

Delegation of the Armed Forces of Thailand examined the production capacity of the plant, has made the military unit of production and direct their production. Customers Demonstrated produced «Oplot» tanks  and tested them.

Next batch of tanks for the needs of the Armed Forces of Thailand is fully prepared for shipment.

The Oplot-M main battle tank (MBT) is developed by Kharkiv Morozov Machine Building Design Bureau (KMDB) for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The MBT can destroy ground-based and low-flying, low-speed aerial targets, while offering superior protection and high mobility for troops.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defence inducted the Oplot-M MBTs into service in 2009. In September 2011, the Royal Thai Army placed an order with Ukrainian arms trading company Ukrspetzexport for 49 Oplot MBTs.
