Russian Western military district to receive about 20 aircraft until the end of 2016

Aviation formations of the Western MD of Russian Federation will have received about 20 aircraft of tactic and army aviation by the end of 2016.

The units will receive such aircraft as Mi-28, Mi-8, Mi-26, Mi-35N, Su-35 and An-148.

In total, troops of the Western military district are to receive more than 1,000 pieces of the newest armament and military hardware, including T-72B3 tanks, Msta-S self-propelled howitzers, different multiple launch rocket systems, communication and electronic warfare complexes.
