Photos: Ukrainian soldiers prepare for new weapons system

Cadets of Ukrainian National Land Forces Academy has acquired needed skills to use modern local-made armoured vehicles at the International Peacekeeping and Security Center, as reported by the press service of Ukraine’s military department.

On one of the sites of the training ground, future infantry officers first conducted the live-fire exercises with modern Ukrainian BTR-4E armored personnel carriers.

The exercise allowed leaders to assess how well their Soldiers performed weapons suppression capabilities.

The BTR-4E is a  new generation wheeled armoured vehicle designed in Ukraine by the Kharkiv Morozov Machine Building Design Bureau (SOE KMDB) a subsidiary of the UkrOboronProm.

The BTR-4 APC can be deployed as an armoured vehicle in infantry units in the army or as a wheeled infantry fighting vehicle to provide fire support in combat situations. The vehicle can accomplish its jobs in varied climatic conditions throughout the day and night.

The domestic light armored vehicle sample has powerful armament, great speed and protection for the crew. Almost 80 vehicles BTR-4E strengthened Ukrainian army during the military operation in the East of the country.

The Ukrainian defence concern is planning new BTR-4 delivery to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the National Guard and other law enforcement agencies to strengthen the country’s defence.
