First Airbus A400M military transport aircraft for Spain leaves the paintshop

The first Airbus A400M military transport aircraft destined for the Spanish Air Force has finished its painting process and appeared in the colours of the customer.

The aircraft, production number MSN44, left the paintshop at the final assembly line (FAL) in Seville and will now undergo ground tests in preparation for its first flight in mid-July.

The Airbus A400M Atlas is a multi-national, four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft. It was designed by Airbus Military (now Airbus Defence and Space) as a tactical airlifter with strategic capabilities to replace older transport aircraft, such as the Transall C-160 and the Lockheed C-130 Hercules.
