Czech Special Forces orders new Perun 4×4 tactical support vehicles

Czech Company SVOS announced at IDET 2017 exhibition that it had signed the deal with the Czech Special Forces to delivery four Perun 4×4 tactical support vehicles.

The Perun is a new 4×4 light tactical vehicle fully designed and developed by the Czech Company SVOS. The vehicle is expected to be used for reconnaissance, rapid assault, fire support and convoy protection. The PERUN to fulfill most demanded mission tasks, can be fitted with variety of weapons systems such as 12.7 mm caliber, 7.62 mm caliber, grenade launchers, smoke launchers as well as communication, jamming and other customer required equipment.

The Perun has a GVW of 13,000 kg with a kerb weight of 10,400 kg including ballistic and mine protection and a payload capacity of 2,600 kg.

Measuring 6 m long, 2.3 m wide, and 2.6 m tall, the vehicle has a wheelbase of 3.8 m and a track width of 1.97 m. It is air transportable via the C-130 Hercules medium airlifter.
