British Airborne soldiers took part in military parade on Independence Day of Ukraine

Eight foreign units took part in the military parade on the occasion of the celebration of the 27th anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine on 24 August.

Also, British Airborne soldiers from 16 Air Assault Brigade marched alongside Ukrainian troops and other NATO allies and partners during a parade in Kyiv, Ukraine on Aug. 24.

A contingent of British Airborne soldiers from 16 Air Assault Brigade march alongside their Ukrainian and international counterparts, from 18 countries, in a show of solidarity and partnership as part of Independence Day celebrations taking place in the capital, Kyiv.

The reservist paratroopers, from the 4th Battalion, The Parachute Regiment, and 299 (Para) Engineer Squadron, Royal Engineers, are drawn from locations across the UK, and are in Ukraine to demonstrate Britain’s ongoing solidarity with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and in particular to build and enhance their own well-established relationship with Ukrainian Airborne forces, said in the statement by the British Embassy in Ukraine.
