The BMP-3 is a amphibious infantry fighting vehicle, successor to the BMP-1 and BMP-2. The abbreviation BMP stands for Boevaya Mashina Pehoty (literally “Infantry Combat Vehicle”).

In service United Arab Emirates – 250 for Abu Dhabi and 402 for Dubai (of which 391 delivered in 1992–1997) with “Namut” thermal sight and other modifications.
