Russia to display «Vihr» unmanned combat ground vehicle at ARMY 2016

The «Udar» (Vortex in English) unmanned combat ground vehicle with new remote controlled weapon station is to be displayed at the II International military and technical forum ARMY-2016 in Russia.

The «Vihr» is an unmanned combat ground vehicle (UCGV) had converted from BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle.

UCGV can be used for many applications where it may be inconvenient, dangerous, or impossible to have a human operator present.

Generally, the vehicle will have a set of sensors to observe the environment, and will either autonomously make decisions about its behavior or pass the information to a human operator at a different location who will control the vehicle through teleoperation.

At ARMY-2016 military and technical forum will displaying the new version of  unmanned combat ground vehicle with the new remote controlled weapon station developed by Scientific Research and Technical Center «Impulse-2».

STC «Impulse-2» has developed the combat module, an advanced, stabilized remotely operated weapon station designed for 30mm cannon with 7.62mm  machinguns and anti-tank missiles.

The official opening of ARMY-2016 will take place on September 6; in comparison with the previous year the duration of the event will be increased by 2 more days considering the desire of participants.

The expositions of the Forum are to be segmented to 40 topical sections.
