Zambia debuts new L-15 advanced jet trainers at AAD 2016 expo

The Zambian Air Force has debuted a new L-15 advanced jet trainers at Africa Aerospace and Defense airshow in South Africa.

The Zambian Air Force brought two of its new Chinese L-15 advanced jet trainers to the Africa Aerospace and Defense airshow in South Africa. One of the jets is flying at the show with a Chinese pilot at the controls, that reported by alert5.com.

The first Chinese-made Hongdu L-15 supersonic light attack/jet trainer for Zambia has broken cover at Africa Aerospace and Defence in the markings of the air force’s 15 Sqn.

The Zambian Air Force has ordered six Chinese-made Hongdu L-15 supersonic light attack/jets.

The L-15 was displayed with an array of Chinese weaponry, including a PL-5E II air-to-air missile and LS-6 guided glide bomb.
