Ukrainian MilTech company Skiftech has secured a contract with the U.S. Army for the development of laser-based tactical engagement simulation equipment.
The contract, part of a long-term program aimed at advancing military training technologies, places Skiftech among global defense industry leaders in providing cutting-edge solutions for realistic combat training.
Skiftech announced its selection alongside major defense contractors such as Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics Mission Systems, Cubic Defense, and Saab.
“We are proud to announce that Skiftech has been selected as one of the 10 companies awarded a contract by the U.S. Army for the development and maintenance of tactical engagement simulation equipment,” the company said in a statement. “This achievement reinforces our commitment to advancing military training technologies and supporting modern defense solutions.”
According to the U.S. Department of Defense announcement on March 6, Skiftech LLC is among the recipients of a contract under Army Contracting Command in Orlando, Florida. The agreement, worth up to $921 million, will focus on extending the operational lifespan of existing Tactical Engagement Simulation Systems. The awarded firms will compete for individual project orders over the course of the contract, which is set to continue through March 2035.
The Tactical Engagement Simulation Systems are essential tools used by the U.S. military for realistic battlefield training, enabling soldiers to engage in force-on-force exercises with laser-based weapon simulators. These systems enhance combat readiness by replicating real-world battlefield conditions without the use of live ammunition.
Securing this contract marks a milestone for Skiftech, positioning the company as a new player in military training technology development.
Skiftech’s participation in this program not only reflects its technological expertise but also signals further opportunities for Ukrainian defense companies in the international market.
