MBDA and Rheinmetall AG ‏unveil new concept for close range air defence system

MBDA Deutschland with the participation of Rheinmetall AG ‏‏unveil new concept for close range air defence system at  the international aerospace exhibition  ILA 2016 Berlin Air Show.

The new concept for close range air defence system is a fully automated very short range air defense weapon system using MBDA’s Mistral guided missiles  against fixed and rotary wing aircrafts, remotely piloted vehicles, unmanned aerial vehicles and cruise missiles.

The completely modular solution by MBDA Deutschland and  Rheinmetall AG  highly improves the capabilities of Man Portable Air Defense Systems by providing quick and correct aiming of the missile, improving reaction time, increasing fire power and hit probability.
