Ukrainians turn Wagner’s Su-24 debris into keychains

A group of aviation enthusiasts in Ukraine, known as Fuselage Creations, has found a unique way to support their country’s armed forces.

They have transformed the remnants of Russian combat aircraft into souvenir keychains. These keychains are being sold overseas, with the proceeds going towards procuring equipment and vehicles for Ukraine’s Armed Forces.

The latest addition to their collection is a piece of the Russian Su-24 bearing the registration number RF-93798 “48 Blue.” The attack jet belonged to Russia’s Wagner Group private military company.

This aircraft was shot down in December 2022, near the city of Bakhmut, an area of intense fighting between Ukrainian defense forces and Russian occupying troops attempting to seize the Donetsk region.

Russian media reported that the bomber was not operated by the Russian Aerospace Forces but by the Wagner Group, with the crew consisting of mercenaries rather than regular military personnel. The pilot was identified as Aleksandr Sergeevich Antonov, and the navigator as Vladimir Nikolaevich Nikishin.

Fuselage Creations has repurposed the wreckage into 300 keychains, which are now available for sale. The funds raised from these sales are aimed at supporting Ukraine’s defense efforts against the ongoing aggression. This symbolic gesture serves both as a reminder of the conflict and a means to contribute to the country’s resilience.
