The “spy drone” was shot down by Ukrainian soldiers in the sky over the combat zone, not far from the dividing line in Donbas, the press center of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) said.

Ukrainian officials said that shot down an unidentified drone in Ukrainian airspace near military positions in Donbas on Feb. 8 and believed it was of Russian origin.

The unmanned aerial vehicle was discovered in the sky near the conflict line on Feb. 8, at around 7 p.m. After identifying the object and obtaining proof that the aerial vehicle belonged neither to the Ukraine army, nor to the international organizations monitoring the situation near the dividing line, it was decided to destroy it.
