Russian helicopter crews performed landing operation at ranges in Stavropol Krai and Crimea

In the course of the Southern MD unannounced combat readiness inspection, helicopter and UAV squadrons were put into service of the combined aviation groupings in North Ossetia and Crimea.

After receiving an order to redeploy to the operational airfields, the pilots took off and laid their courses to Mozdok and Kirovskoye airfields.

The crews also engaged ground targets and performed landing operations at day- and nighttime.

Within 10 minutes, crews Mi-8MTV5 helicopters, Mi-8AMTSh, Mi-28-N, Mi-35M, Mi-24 took off and headed for airfields Mozdok and Kirov.

In total, the crews performed more than 50 combat sorties having fired more than 2,000 aviation rounds.
