Russian Army to Upgrade its T-90 Tanks

Russian Army  to upgrade its T-90 main battle tanks, reported military-informant.com.

Russia is considering the possibility of upgrading T-90 main battle tanks  and improve their combat capabilities to the level of T-90MS.

T-90MS «Tagil» main battle tank, a Russian export version of the T-90M, which itself is a heavily upgraded T-90A.

The T-90MS well protected by the new Relikt ERA system. Although this export variant does not feature the Shtora APS in the configuration offered by UVZ, this element can also be added, should the Russian Army wish.

“We have about 400 tanks, set in the early 2000s. It’s been almost 12-15 years. They need to be updated. Therefore, we consider the issue of modernization of the tank fleet, “- said Deputy Russian Defense Minister Yuri Borisov at  RAE-2015 in Nizhny Tagil.
