Russian air defence formation celebrates the 30th anniversary

Russian Air defence formation, which is located in the Leningrad region, celebrates the 30th anniversary.

It was established under the order of the USSR Defence Minister dating February 12. The Leningrad region air defence formation has been established in order to provide protection of the northwestern strategic direction.

The air defence formation is fitted with S-300 and S-400 air defence missile systems, Fundament mobile automated complexes and different radar stations.
